Gordon College Women's Lacrosse traveled to Boston this afternoon to take on the Leopards of Wentworth Institute for the final Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup of the regular-season. The Leopards used a 13 goal first half effort to lift them to a 22-16 win over the Fighting Scots.
Leading the way for the Scots was Gordon's all-time leading point scorer and newly appointed all -ime leading goals scorer,
Olivia McCarrick, who netted eight goals while dishing out two assists and scooping up six ground balls.
Greta Moore found the back of the net three times and found her teammates three times to tally three assists.
Brenna Otte had two goals and two assists of her own.
Brenna Peterson had eight caused turnovers in the loss.
The Leopards were paced by Emily Rogers (So./Pembroke, Mass.), Brooke Paradis (Sr./Pelham, N.H.), and Sarah Galan (Fr./Colchester, Conn.) who had eight, seven, and six goals, respectively. Rogers dished out a game-high four assists and Galan handed out three assists. Netminder, Lily Kuhns (So./Gloucester, Mass.) had 15 saves in the win.
How It Happened
- The Leopards attacked first scoring two goals before McCarrick converted an Otte pass giving the Scots their first goal of the game. Back-to-back goals from Otte gave Gordon the 3-2 lead 7 minutes into the game.
- The Leopards scored six unanswered goals which was spearheaded by Paradis who had three of the six goals, to take a 8-3 lead.
- Moore and McCarrick scored back-to-back goals cutting the Leopards lead to three before the Leopards answered back with three goals. From there on, the Leopards and Scots traded off goals to finish off the half with the Leopards leading 13-7.
- Hannah Bourk found McCarrick to record the first goal of the second half. The Leopards scored one goal before Gordon scored three unanswered goals from three different people cutting the Leopards lead to three, 14-11.
- The two teams would exchange goals for three minutes before the Leopards scored three unanswered goals, extending their lead to five. The Leopards scoring spree was broken up by back-to-back goals from McCarrick with just over 13 minutes to play, making the score 18-15.
- Moore would score a solo goal to split up another three goal streak by the Leopards, but the Leopards would net the final goal of the game securing the 22-16 victory.

- Olivia McCarrick's season-high eight goals on the game solidified her as Gordon College Women's Lacrosse Leading Goals Scorer with a grand total of 216 for the senior's career.
- Brenna Peterson had a career-high eight caused turnovers.
