Gordon College Baseball hit the road today to take on the Seahawks of Salve Regina University on Day Two of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament and despite jumping out to an early lead, the Seahawks bested the Fighting Scots, 8-2. With the loss, Gordon concludes its 2019 season. 

How It Happened

• John Lagerfeldt put the Scots up early as the junior hit a solo-shot, to give Gordon a one-run lead in the first. The lead was short lived as the Seahawks matched the blue and white in the home half of the inning to tie it up at 1-1.
• Alec Willey led off the top of the third with a double and later scored thanks to a RBI from Daniel Quint, to go back on top, 2-1.
• In the bottom of the fourth, Salve Regina tied it up yet again, making it 2-2.
• The Seahawks caught fire in the bottom of the sixth as Salve connected on six hits to plate six runs to go up, 8-2. 
• That was all the offense either squad could put together as Salve secured the win and lives to see another day in postseason play.

• John Lagerfeldt booked his first collegiate career home run today.
• The Scots will graduate: Noah Henkell, Christian Hodge, Derek Hudson, Chris Leavitt, Joseph Mack, Daniel Quint, Connor Rogotzke, and Alec Willey.
