Traveling across town to take on Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rival Endicott College tonight at Hempstead Stadium, Gordon College Women's Soccer fought but came up just short in the end, as the host Gulls utilized an early second half goal to secure a 1-0 win in just the second league matchup for both sides.

How It Happened

• Both teams dueled throughout the first half with Endicott holding a slight 12-9 shot advantage, but neither was able to crack the scoreboard leaving the game at a scoreless deadlock at the half.
• Then, just two minutes into the second frame, Endicott's Hannah Pesci (Sr./Windham, N.H.) dished a feed to Larissa Cade (Sr./Middlefield, Conn.) off a corner, who finished off her shot from close range to put the Gulls on top, 1-0.
• The Fighting Scots continued to apply offensive pressure throughout the remainder of the half, with senior captain Devin Lacroix registering the most threatening chance of the day with a redirect that sailed just high of the bar.
• Time ran out on the Scots' comeback effort, however, and the Gulls held on to book their first CCC win of the season.

• The Gulls snapped the Scots' five game win-streak today. The Scots' last loss was on September 1 against Ithaca.
• The Scots return to action on Tuesday, October 1 as they travel to Salem State for a 7 p.m. matchup.
