How It Happened
- It was a low scoring game early with Endicott taking the slight 8-3 lead with 4:53 to go in the first. However, Gordon scored 15 straight points to close out the first on top leading by a score of 18-8.
- Despite outscoring the Scots by 12 in the second, Endicott took just a 32-30 lead at the break.
- The third quarter saw five ties and three lead changes before Foley sunk a three-pointer with 33 seconds left in the frame to take a 54-51 advantage heading into the final quarter.
- The Scots were on top for much of the fourth until Putnam hit a layup with just under four minutes remaining to give Endicott the one-point lead. The one point lead flipped back and fourth two more times shortly after until Gibbs hit a layup to give Gordon a 68-67 lead with 32 ticks left on the clock forcing Endicott to call a timeout.
- After the timeout, Putnam again drove through the lane to hit the layup and eventual game-winner with 13 seconds left on the board.
