How It Happened
- Back-to-back three-pointers from Serianna Anderson and Foley made it a one-point game (trailing 6-7) three minutes into the first quarter. The Golden Bears took an eventual 16-10 lead heading into the second frame.
- WNE orchestrated 10-0 run to lead 28-11 midway through the second quarter before going on top 37-21 as both sides headed into the locker rooms at the break.
- Despite matching up nearly identical in points with the hot-handed Golden Bears in the third, (Gordon 15-17 WNE), the home team held to an 18-point cushion with one quarter remaining.
- Not going down without a fight, Gordon opened up the fourth with a Gibbs' jumper as well as driving to the basket on back-to-back possessions that ended up at the charity stripe. However, WNE shot above 40 percent from the field to secure the 75-52 victory.
