Gordon College Women's Lacrosse hosted the Worcester State University Lancers at the Brigham Athletic Complex this afternoon where the Lancers bested the Fighting Scots by a score of 14-3 to remain undefeated on the year.
The Scots were led by
Sabrina Jandreau who found the back of the net twice, and
Abigail Mansfield who added a goal.
Molly Guthrie had her hand in four caused turnovers while scooping up three ground balls.
For the visitors, Abby Magnuson (Jr./Ellington, Conn.) registered a hat trick, Rachel Hopkins (Sr./Chelmsford, Mass.), Maddy Brennan (So./Pomfret, Conn.), and Shea Jarvis (Fr./Auburn, Mass.) each booked two goals, while Kylie Hill (Jr./Lunenburg, Mass.) and Sarah DesVergnes (Fr./Limerick, Maine) dished out two assists each.
How It Happened
- WSU's Hopkins put her team on the board early after knocking in two quick goals for the senior. The Lancers tacked on four more to go on top by six early in the half.
- Jandreau stopped the WSU run as the senior took advantage of a free position attempt to notch her first goal of the season and put the Scots on the board.
- Jandraeu chipped in another tally for the Scots in the closing minutes of the half to make it a 10-2 score at the half in favor of WSU.
- Mansfield recorded her second goal in as many games as the sophomore found the netting after being rewarded with a free position attempt.
- The Lancers added a four more in the half to secure the non-conference victory.

- The Scots hit the road on Tuesday, March 3 as they square off against Lasell University at 4 p.m.
- Sabrina Jandreau booked her first multi-goal game of the young season.
