How It Happened
- After Mansfield registered the first goal of the night off a free position at 27:46, the Vikings surged offensively for eight unanswered goals over the next 20 minutes of action to establish a comfortable lead.
- Mansfield then tallied her second of the match with just under six minutes to go in the half to stop SSU's run and make it an 8-2 game heading into the break.
- Though Gordon found a bit more offensive traction in the second and traded tallies with their host for the entirety of the half, the first period deficit proved too much to overcome, leaving the Vikings on a cruise to their first win of the very early season.
Beyond the Box Score
- Megan Gordon booked her first point of the season with her unassisted tally with 6:27 to go in the second half.
- The Scots look to rebound as they travel to take on non-conference Smith College on Saturday, March 7 at 12 p.m.
