Gordon College Women's Soccer traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts for an afternoon Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup against the Western New England Golden Bears. WNE used a pair of quick goals to open up the second half to snatch the 3-2 win over the Fighting Scots. 

How It Happened

• In the 11^th minute, WNE's Allison Bruehwiler knocked one into the back of the net to put WNE up first. However, not even three minutes later, Gordon's Shelby Jones ripped in the equalizer past WNE's keeper to make it 1-1. Neither side was able to break through for the remainder of the half, leaving the score locked up going into the break.
• WNE orchestrated a 3-1 lead after netting a pair of goals just 10 minutes into the second half. In the 81^st minute, Calla Ashley fed teammate Kendra Wentling whose goal trimmed WNE's lead to 3-2.
• Gordon continued to fight throughout regulation, putting up two solid shots, but neither was able to find its way to the scoreboard, as WNE secured the win.

• Kendra Wentling recorded her second collegiate goal today.
• The Scots return to action on Sunday, October 17 as they travel to Newport, R.I. for a 5 p.m. matchup against the Seahawks of Salve Regina.
