The Gordon College Women's Soccer team squared off against cross-town rival Endicott College this afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. The Fighting Scots got the best of the visitors, defeating the Gulls by a score of 1-0 to improve to 9-2 overall and 3-1 in league action. With the loss, the Gulls drop to 5-3-2 overall and 3-1 in the CCC.

How It Happened

• Right out of the gates it was an evenly matched showdown for the Battle of Exit 48, with both sides earning a pair of corner kicks that neither could convert, leaving the first half in a 0-0 stalemate.
• Then in the 71st minute, McKenna Feller served a free kick over the back line to Ashley, who volleyed it off the woodwork into the side netting to put the Scots in the lead. Though the Gulls knocked on the door four more times before the final whistle, the Scots' staunch back line buckled down to preserve the pivotal 1-0 CCC victory.

• The Fighting Scots picked up their first win over the Gulls since their CCC Semifinal victory in 2017.
• Ashley has now recorded an assist or goal in four straight games.
