How It Happened
- After Trinity netted the first jumper of the game, Gordon hit their next four shots, including back-to-back jumpers from Howe to go on top, 8-2. Trinity raced back, scoring the next seven points to go up by one before Howe nailed a three with 3:29 left to take the 11-9 edge. The Scots and Bantams finished the final three minutes nearly identical in scoring but the Scots held on for the 15-14 lead.
- Fifty Five seconds into the second quarter, Wynbeek secured the bruise and the bucket to make the score 18-17 in Gordon's favor. The flip flopping scores continued in the battle as Trinity's Bailey Hyland drained a shot from three-point land to lead 20-18. Not to be outdone, Rivera quickly answered back with a three of her own to once again give Gordon the lead. It was deja vu less than 30 seconds later as Trinity again came back with a three before Rivera retaliated with another from downtown, making it 24-23, Gordon. The Bantams collected their next four points from the charity stripe to take a 27-24 lead before Michaela Kelly knocked in both of her freebies to come within one. The ever reliable Rivera knocked in a layup to give Gordon the lead for the final time (28-27) with 5:32 remaining in the half. The Bantams outscored the blue and white 13-7 in the waning minutes to take a five point lead (40-35) going in the half.
- Coming out of the locker room firing, Trinity scored 27 points thanks to shooting 69.27 percent from the field. Highlighting the Gordon offense was again Rivera who scored 60 percent of the Scots' points in the frame.
- Opening up the fourth with a bang, Freshman Brynn Barnhard netted a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 19. Rivera followed that up with an "and one" shortly after. However, Trinity continued to maintain the lead as the home team snatched the 87-59 win.
