Hosting the Wentworth Leopards on Kanas Court for Gordon College Women's Basketball's second Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup of the young season, the Fighting Scots continued to find the bottom of the net en route to a 59-27 victory over the visitors. With the victory the Scots improve to 3-4 overall and even out at 1-1 in league action.

On the visitor side, Nattaly David led her squad with eight points and three rebounds followed by Brooke Carlson who recorded six.

How It Happened
  • Veteran Wynbeek got the Fighting Scots rolling by landing a jumper less than 30 seconds into their second CCC duel. From there, Gordon shutout the Leopards 10-0 until four minutes left when Wentworth was able to put a three up on the board. The Scots continued to tack onto their lead, ending the first 17-7 after a more than dominant first period.
  • Continuing their streak, the Fighting Scots held the Leopards to just one point in the next period while lengthening their edge to 34-8.
  • Heading into the second half with a massive 26-point lead, the Scots and Leopards matched total points for the frame with both netting 10 points, giving Gordon the same 26-point edge.
  • After a steal with 3:30 left in regulation, Michaela Kelly secured a steal before laying it up and in to give the Scots a 29-point advantage. Exactly two minutes later, Williams scored a bucket identical to Kelly after Williams' defense forced a steal before rattling home a layup. The Fighting Scots held Wentworth to one point down the stretch to book the 32-point win .
