How It Happened
- The Scots opened up the flood gates from the start scoring early and often, with a trio of quick goals within the first 90 seconds of the game.
- Already commanding an 11-0 ball game, teammates Mansfield and Dyer teamed up to add three more within a two minute span to extend their lead to 14 with just over 11 minutes to go in the first half.
- Gordon continued to lay it on the Mariners with a 17-0 lead, but a pair of Mitchell tallies in the final minutes of the half eliminated the shutout making it a 17-2 game at the half.
- The hot offense continued as the Scots scored eight unanswered points to take the eventual 25-2 W.
