Senior Parker Omslaer and Drew Thibeault led the way for the Scots with 17 points each, while Garrett Sattazahn followed close behind with 15. Freshman Michael Makiej recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

How It Happened

  • The game was not lacking in excitement from the start with three triples within the first minute. Gordon's coming from sophomore Sattazahn, assisted by senior Josh Crutchfield.
  • A layup from Omslaer allowed Gordon to take back the lead three minutes in and keep it for the remainder of the first half.
  • A dunk from Endicott's Grant brought the Gulls back within one point, but Gordon held them off for the remaining 7:17, capped off with a buzzer beating three pointer from Crutchfield to put the Scots up by 15 at the break.
  • Gordon kept their momentum in the second half with a three point jumper from Zachary Bennett just thirteen seconds in.
  • Another triple from Justin Yu extended the point margin to its largest of the night, 24 points, with 11 minutes left on the clock.
  • The Gulls fought back but it wasn't enough, as the Scots rallied together to bring home a 92-78 win, finishing off with a jumper from senior Marcus Retegues in the last 30 seconds.

Beyond The Box Score:

  • Omslaer and Thibeault's 17 points were season highs for the pair.
  • Makiej's double-double was the second of his career.
  • The Scots shot 60.9% from the field in tonight's matchup.
  • Gordon will travel to Beverly tomorrow night to face the Gulls again in the last game of their 2021 season.
  • Said Head Coach Tod Murphy: "Coaches look really smart when the team is hitting shots, so I looked pretty smart tonight. We shot the ball very well tonight, and got contributions from a lot of different people. When you can get four guys in double figures, and two others with nine and eight points, your chance of victory increases significantly. I was very happy for our senior, Marcus Retegues to score a basket late in the game to close out the scoring for us tonight. Any win against Endicott is a good win."
