Box Score Gordon College Baseball squared off against the Wentworth Leopards at Libby Field this afternoon where the Leopards defeated the Fighting Scots 8-7.

How It Happened

• Cal Tatroe's patience at the plate earned the freshman a walk and an RBI with the bases loaded to give the Scots a 1-0 lead.
• In the top of the third, Tatroe again knocked in an RBI with a single to third base to bring home Austin Garrett.
• The Leopards scored two in the fourth and another in the fifth to go on top, 3-2.
• Josh Popovitch continued to see the ball well, as the junior belted his third home run in the last six games to lock it up at 3-3.
• A four-run seventh inning for the home team gave Wentworth a comfortable 7-3 advantage.
• Not to be outdone, Connor Hartman launched a grand slam over the left field fence to again make it at tie game but this time at 7-7.
• Wentworth's Kyle O'Neil gave his team the 8-7 lead and eventual victory with a solo shot to left center.

• Gordon travels to Suffolk on Friday, April 26 for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.
• Connor Hartman hit his first grand slam as a Fighting Scot.
