High Powered Offense Lifts Scots To 8-0 W Over Lions

Gordon College Women's Soccer scored eight goals in a road victory against the Eastern Nazarene College Lions this evening. 

Calla Ashley and Alexa Weindorf each netted two goals, Savannah Metz, McKenna Feller, Abbey Engle, and Sophia Mammana also each recorded a goal in the 8-0 W.

How It Happened
  • Weindorf found the back of the net twice within a six minute span to put the Scots up 2-0, early. Metz and Ashley each snuck a shot past ENC's keeper to put Gordon on top, 4-0 at the half.
  • Ashley tacked on her second goal of the night less than five minutes into the second half before teammate Feller knocked in another goal for the blue and white three minutes later.
  • Engle and Mammana closed the scoring out for Gordon to make it an 8-0 Scots' win.

  • Calla Ashley and Alexa Weindorf recorded their first collegiate multi-goal games tonight.
  • The Fighting Scots host the ENC Lions at the Brigham Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 24 at 4 p.m.
