Facing off against the Lions of Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) on Senior Day at the Brigham Athletic Complex, the Fighting Scots blanked their former Commonwealth Coast Conference foe for the second time this week, 2-0, to move to a perfect 4-0 overall on the season.
Calla Ashley continued her offensive surge for the Scots, netting both goals on the day to up her season total to five.
How It Happened
- Ashley wasted little time making her presence known, booking her first of the day at the 4:21 mark off a helper from Savannah Metz to give Gordon the early lead.
- Though the Scots' offensive dominance continued apace to outshoot their guests 11-1 in the first, it wasn't until the 72nd minute that they were able to extend the lead when Ashley converted a solo effort to give Gordon all the cushion needed for the shutout W.
- Netminder Tori Paine registered three saves in the win for Gordon, while ENC's Jasmine Arzu was busy in net turning away 14 shots in 90 minutes of work for the Lions.
