For day two of their four game series, Gordon College Baseball faced the Rams of Suffolk University at J. Tec White Field this afternoon. The Fighting Scots took game one by a score fo 5-3 before dropping the nightcap by a score fo 20-5.

Game One

• Connor Hartman got it started for the home team as the senior hit his second dinger of the week to give the Scots a 1-0 lead.
• With two ducks on the pond, Shane Demers hit a three-run homerun over the left field fence to make it 4-0 in favor of Gordon.
• Luke Harder laced a hard hit into the diving glove of C. Hartman in the hot corner that scored a run for Suffolk in the top of the third to close the gap to three runs.
• Patrick Tevenan reached home on a first and third play to regain the four-run cushion in the fifth inning.
• In the top of the sixth, Suffolk strung together three hits to score two runs, to cut Gordon's lead to 5-3.
• The Scots kept the Rams off the board in the seventh to secure the two-run victory.
• Joe Pedulla fanned nine batters in seven innings of work.

Game Two

• After going up 4-0 after two inning, Gordon cut the Rams' lead in half thanks to a two-run triple off the bat of Dalton Cody in the bottom of the second.
• Suffolk scored 16 unanswered runs to lead 20-2 before Gordon tacked on three in the bottom of the seventh, but the Rams came away with the 20-5 win.

Beyond The Box Score

• The Scots celebrated seniors, Drew McCormack, Joe Pedulla, Mark Gadaleta, and Connor Hartman in a private ceremony this evening. 
• Joe Pedulla tied his career-high in strikeouts (nine), a feat the senior accomplished in his first collegiate appearance in 2018.
