Gordon College Women's Tennis squared off against the Wentworth Institute Leopards at the Brigham Athletic Complex where the Fighting Scots shutout the Leopards, 9-0.
Starting off with the W's in doubles competitions were
Kristin Kendall and
Abbigail Fournier who blanked their opponents, 8-0 in No. 3 action.
Madison West and
Abigail Graves teamed up to take an 8-1 victory in the No. position before
Jordyn Maddex and
Annette Kim doubled up their counterparts, 8-4 to make it a clean 3-0 sweep to begin the day.
West continued to keep it rolling for the blue and white as the junior cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 3 singles. Kim followed that up with a win in the clinching match defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-3 in No. 2 singles to secure the victory for Gordon. The Scots also earned wins from senior Graves (6-2, 6-3), Maddex (7-7, 6-1), Kendall (6-0, 6-2), and Fournier (6-2, 6-1).Â
