Box Score Traveling to Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts tonight in a non-conference matchup, Gordon College Volleyball took on the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) Buccaneers and aced their competition in three straight sets. The Fighting Scots quickly shutout the Buccaneers 3-0 (25-11, 25-7, 25-9) to improve to 4-3 on the young season.

Jordan Shaduk guided her team by collecting a total of 11 kills followed by partners in crime,
Valerie Nilan with nine and
Joey Keltner with seven attacks on the night.
How It Happened
- From the beginning, both sides came out strong and ready for battle. After some back and forth play early on, the Scots pulled ahead 4-3 and never looked back. Gordon's Shaduk knocked down her third kill of the frame to secure the 25-11 W and go up 1-0.
- To start the second set, the Buccaneers came out with hot hands, booking back-to-back kills to get ahead 2-0. The Scots flipped the script shortly after to command the court, going on a 11-1 run to take the 11-3 advantage. Gordon continued to dominate, limiting MMA to only seven points to win the second set with an assertive score of 25-7.
- Shaduk and Maggie Rejmer alternated kills before Macie Carroll joined in on the fun to quickly bring the score to 12-0 to give the Scots a generous early lead in the third and final set. The Buccaneers attempted to stay alive, coming back five points during the match point but the Scots ultimately secured the last point with a kill from Nilan to book her ninth kill of the night giving the Scots a speedy 3-0 win.

- Freshman Maggie Rejmer booked a career high six kills in tonight's match.
- Head Coach Sue Kelly recorded her 100th win as a Fighting Scot tonight.
- The Fighting Scots kick off Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play Tuesday, September 21 when they travel to Springfield, Massachusetts to square up against the Golden Bears of Western New England.
