Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Scots Roll Past Rams, 4-0

Playing in their second game in as many days, Gordon College Women's Soccer welcomed the Rams of Framingham State University to the Brigham Athletic Complex this evening. The Fighting Scots recorded their third straight shutout victory after blanking the visitors, 4-0. With the win, Gordon improves to 5-1 on the season while the Rams drop to 2-5-1.

How It Happened
  • Just a hair over eight minutes after the opening whistle, Allie LaRue found teammate Calla Ashley on the left side who crossed up her defender before lacing a shot in the upper 90 to put the Scots on the board first.
  • Gordon extended its lead to two goals nine minutes later after Ashley took a corner kick from the right side that bounced out eventually finding its way back to Ashley. The junior booted it back into the middle of the field in front of the net to a waiting Taylor Talesnick who stuck her foot out and arched an undefendable ball over Framingham's keeper.
  • With the ball seemingly never leaving the Scots' offensive end of the field, Shelby Jones joined in on the goal parade after tripping up her defender to make it 3-0 in favor of the Scots.
  • Finishing off the offensive clinic, McKenna Feller drilled a direct kick into the side netting from 30 yards out to give Gordon their fourth and final tally of the night.
Beyond The Box Score
  • The Fighting Scots travel to Biddeford, Maine on Saturday, September 25 to take on the UNE Nor'easters at 2:30 p.m.
  • Calla Ashley has now scored in back-to-back games for the second time this season.
