Scots Shut Down Nor'easters, 6-0

Box Score Gordon College Men's Soccer journeyed to Biddeford, Maine this afternoon to take on the University of New England (UNE) Nor'easters. The Fighting Scots evened out their conference record to 1-1 after topping UNE 6-0 in the victorious duel.

How It Happened
  • The Scots got on top early when Ryan Modzeleski placed one in the back of the net with assistance from Chase Gwynn at the 5:04 mark.
  • Gordon continued to stay in command, rattling off three more shots and holding the Nor'easters shot less before Ben Mollenhauer muscled one behind UNE's keeper, upping the Scots advantage to two goals.
  • A minute later, the Nor'easters were able to get a shot in, however it was their one and only of the half that the Scots would allow. With less than three minutes on the clock, Jacob Gaudreau delivered to teammate Julius Swaim to land Gordon's third goal before the end of the half.
  • The Fighting Scots didn't let up, once again scoring before five minutes into the period when freshman Benji Wright added to the fun giving the Scots a 4-0 lead.
  • Gordon was not content with four goals, adding another from Jarvin Ramirez who was fed by AJ Pettitt to widen the gap to 5-0.
  • Five minutes later, Noah Martin stormed through the Nor'easters to net his first collegiate goal and secure the 6-0 victory.
