Gordon College Field Hockey welcomed the Golden Bears of Western New England to the Brigham Athletic Complex this afternoon as the Fighting Scots celebrated their seven seniors. After 60 minutes of competition the Golden Bears came away with a 4-0 win.

How It Happened

• The Golden Bears came out of the gates firing but Gordon's defense was a brick wall, with multiple blocked shots and stellar defensive saves from seniors Avonlea Cummings and Emily Ward to keep the score at 0-0 after one.
• The Scots' defense continued to be tested in the second, but battled with more defensive saves thanks to Ward as well as Laura Biscoe who joined in on the defensive save parade. However, the visitors were able to sneak in three goals to hold a three-goal edge at halftime.
• Gordon keeper Sophea Zaskoda made four tremendous saves in the third, only giving up a single goal in the frame, but WNE went on to take the 4-0 victory over the Scots.

• Emily Ward had a career-high seven defensive saves. 
• The Scots graduate Avonlea Cummings, Emily Ward, Laura Biscoe, Macy Balmer, Payton Skillen, Caroline Kelley and Anna Rathbun.
