How It Happened
- Springfield came out hot, hitting back to back three's to grab an early edge that the Pride were able to hold onto until an Anderson three brought the Scots within two moments before Hannah Lomonaco stole the ball to land a fast break in the paint to even the score out at 11 with 3:57 to go in the first. A minute and 36 seconds later, Gordon's Naomi Nicholson hit one from behind the arc to give the Fighting Scots their first five-point lead of the afternoon (16-11) before Springfield netted a last minute layup to head into the second quarter down by three (15-18).
- The Scots immediately regained their five-point edge thanks to a layup from Anderson in the opening minute of the second period (20-15). However, the Pride chipped away to make it a one-point game as each team traded advantages until a Springfield three flipped the script, giving the Pride the edge, 30-25 with less than three minutes remaining in the half that they would hold onto to head into the break, 36-31.
-  Just thirty seconds into the third, Wynbeek added two more points to her stat sheet with a layup in the paint which was soon followed up by one from Isabella Rivera thanks to a fast break to shrink the deficit to one (35-36). It wasn't until the clock read 6:10 that the Pride were able to tack onto their tally but Anderson wasted no time as the senior retaliated with one from downtown to knot it up, 38-all before two successful buckets from the charity stripe off the hands of Wynbeek gave the Scots the two-point edge (40-38). With the Scots not giving up their lead, the teams went on to trade points but the Pride were unable to rise above until three seconds left in the third, hitting a three-pointer to head into the last frame up by one (48-47).
- A. Rivera opened up the final quarter with a three just nine seconds after the whistle blew to take back the lead, 50-48. However, Springfield battled back to take the lead that they would not relinquish after capitalizing on four successful pairs of free throws to take the eventual 68-57 win over the Scots.
