Box Score Gordon College Women's Lacrosse continued conference play this afternoon as they traveled to Dudley, Massachusetts to face off against the Nichols College Bison on Vendetti Field. The Bison were able to take care of business, defeating the Fighting Scots, 15-4.
Abigail Mansfield booked three goals,
Kaitlyn Mini added one, while
Emma Darling collected seven ground balls and caused three turnovers.
For the Bison,
Abigail Pelis and
Hadley Houghton each booked four goals while
Sam Ahaesy tacked on three in the win.
How It Happened
- After a scoreless seven minutes to open up the first quarter, Nichols ripped in three in a row before Hailey Beling fed Mansfield who laced one into the back of the net to make the score 3-1 with just under four minutes to go in the first.
- The Bison added another in the closing seconds of the first before opening up the second with their fifth tally of the day. Mansfield went shot for shot with the Bison to close out the second as the senior recorded two more goals to match the home team to trail by four at the break (3-7).
- Nichols began to pull away in the third frame before taking the eventual 15-4 victory over the Scots.
