Box Score Gordon College Women's Lacrosse faced the Swarthmore College Garnets on Barker Field in Hilton Head, South Carolina this morning where the Garnets defeated the Fighting Scots, 22-4. 

How It Happened 

• Right out of the gates, Swarthmore found the back of the net 29 seconds into the first to put the Garnets on the board. Two and a half minutes later, Gordon's Kaitlyn Mini executed a free position shot to swing it past the keeper to even out the score at 1-1. Swarthmore closed out the first on a 7-1 run to lead 8-2 heading into the second quarter.
• Just 41 ticks into the second quarter, Gordon's Alexis Lapia rocket a shot into the netting thanks to a feed from Abigail Mansfield.
• Swarthmore continued to roll, however, scoring the next 12 goals before Mansfield break it up with Gordon's fourth and final goal of the game in the fourth. The Garnets added two more to end the contest to best the Scots, 22-4.

• The Fighting Scots return to the field on Wednesday, March 9 to face SUNY Potsdam at 11 a.m.
