Box Score Gordon College Men's Tennis traveled across town to Beverly this morning to square up against the Endicott College Gulls. In the conference matchup, the Fighting Scots were able to take a win in both doubles and singles, but the Gulls ultimately came out on top, 7-2.
Endicott started off doubles action with two wins before Gordon's freshmen duo
Adrian Thomas and
Nathan Gonzalez earned the Scots' first win in the No. 3 spot after besting their opponents, 8-6.
For singles,
Ezekiel Hall worked hard for his victory as the sophomore battled back after dropping the first set 5-7. Hall powered through the next set to grab the quick 6-1 win and even out the score 1-1. Heading into the tie-breaking set, the Scots' stealthy hitter overpowered his counterpart, 10-5 to earn the Fighting Scots' first and only singles win of the day. The Gulls went on to shutout the Scots in the remaining singles matches, eventually securing the 7-2 win.
The Fighting Scots hit the courts again on Tuesday, April 12 when they travel to Newport, Rhode Island to face the Salve Regina Seahawks at 3:30 p.m. for their fifth conference battle of the season.
