The Gordon College Women's Soccer team welcomed the Lancers of Worcester State this evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex where the visitors blooped in a goal with less than 30 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the Fighting Scot, 1-1.

How It Happened

• It was quiet for the first 43 minutes of the first half until the Fighting Scots earned their first corner kick of the half where Abbey Engle booted in the ball finding the head of classmate Alexa Weindorf who headed it in past the WSU keeper for the game's first goal.
• In similar fashion to the first half, neither side was able to find the back of the net in the second half until, WSU's Emma Koopman looped in a high ball into the far left netting with 23 seconds left on the clock to knot it up at 1-all.

Beyond The Box Score

• Alexa Weindorf's goal was her first of her senior season.
• The Fighting Scots open Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Saturday, September 17 as they travel to cross-town rival Endicott College for a 4:30 p.m. start against the Gulls.
