Gordon College Women's Soccer continued non-conference action this evening, hosting the New England College (NEC)Â Pilgrims where the Fighting Scots shutout their guests, 2-0.
Sofia Gish stayed hot for the Scots, finding the back of the net for the third game in a row, while
Ava Forbes-Smith also contributed a goal towards Gordon's dominant win.Â
How It Happened
- The Scots' immediately came out hungry for goals as Kendra Wentling fired a shot just 36 seconds after the first whistle. Gordon went on to pound the net 13 times while holding NEC shot less before Forbes-Smith got the Scots on the board at the 27:06 mark.
- Not long after, Gish kept her goal streak going thanks to a feed from teammate Alyssa Floyd to give the Scots a 2-0 lead in the first 35 minutes of play.Â
- Returning from the half, the Fighting Scots continued to command the field, outshooting the Pilgrims seven to three before securing the 2-0 win.Â
