How It Happened
- The Fighting Scots saw nothing but net for their first three possessions, going a perfect 3-3 to go on top, 7-0 two minutes after tip-off. Four minutes later, Anderson and I. Rivera switched off to make three more straight three's before A. Rivera hit a pair from the charity stripe to widen the gap to 22-9 with 2:35 remaining in the high scoring first quarter. Endicott answered back with a 7-0 run but the blue and white had the final say in the frame as I. Rivera drained one from downtown to end the quarter with Gordon up, 25-16.
- In the second, both sides put up 18 on the scoreboard as Nicholson and I. Rivera combined for half of their squad's points to hold a 43-34 advantage at halftime.
- Endicott was able to cut the deficit to single digits in the opening minutes of the third, but Gordon went on a 12-4 run midway through the frame to make it a 14-point game (57-43) with 3:14 to go in the third. However, the Gulls used a pair of three-pointers late to trail by just seven points after three quarters of action.
- Seven was the number again as the visitors netted seven straight points to bring the score to 73-70 with 2:31 left in regulation. However, the 70th point was the last the Gulls would score as Gordon closed it out (10-2) for a 83-72 victory in league action.
