How It Happened
- Sattazahn got his squad on the board with the first basket of the game at the 18:19 mark before the Leopards retaliated with a three. The teams then traded the advantage before the clock read 12:32 when a Wentworth tip-in gave the Leopards a five-point lead (16-11). However, it wasn't long before the Fighting Scots battled back to level out the score, 16-all before taking the 18-16 lead thanks to a Rob Shelansky layup. The Leopards started to slowly pull ahead, eventually bringing the score to 28-20 but the Scots went on a 10-point run comprised of a pair of threes along with a two from Sattazahn as well as a basket from Bryce Smith to force the score in their favor, 30-28 with just under seven minutes to go in the first. Gordon was able to hold tight to their edge, heading into the second half, 38-35.
- The visitors wasted no time as a Leopard three knotted up the score at 38 just 10 seconds into the second half. The CCC rivals went back and forth until Wentworth went on a seven-point rally to go up, 51-44. The Scots attempted to close the gap, keeping their deficit in the single-digits until the Leopards finally gained a 10-point lead on the Scots with 5:28 remaining (73-63). From that moment, Wentworth never looked back, sealing the eventual 89-78 win.
