Gordon College Men's Soccer returned to the pitch this evening for the second day in a row to host the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneers, where after 90 minutes of action the Fighting Scots were able to blank the Buccaneers with a 3 - 0 victory.  

How It Happened

• It only took the Fighting Scots 15 minutes until it was Noah Martin that sent in a cross and found the feet of Benji Wright who was able to find the bottom corner to score the first goal of the night. 
• The first half came to a close with MMA taken more shots than the home team, but neither team side was able to get a corner off as the first whistle blew. 
• A blocked shot from Adrian Chiang ping ponged off a few Buccaneers, before Benny Simpson was able to find with the back of the net, putting the blue and white up 2 - 0 with just over 30 minutes left to play.
• Gordon continued to put pressure on the Buccaneers in the second half, and it was Wright who was able to juke around a few defenders and then able to lift the ball pass the goalkeeper allowing a comfortable lead (3 - 0) with 8:30 minutes remaining in play. 

Beyond The Box Score

• Junior, Benji Wright, tallied two more goals on the season, putting his season goals at seven. 
• Isaiah Diaz, goalkeeper, secured his first action in the net. 
• The Fighting Scots hit the road on Saturday, October 14 to face off against the Western New England Golden Bears at 2:30 p.m.
