Gordon College Women's Soccer ventured into Boston today to square off against the Rams of Suffolk University for their final regular season Saturday game in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action. The Fighting Scots improved to 3-3-1 in CCC play with the 1 - 0 victory.

How It Happened

• The Rams and Scots traded shots early before Ava Forbes-Smith found the back of the netting in the 17th minute to give Gordon the 1 - 0 advantage.
• Emily Bengtson made a pair of saves in the remainder of the first as Gordon continued to knock on the door offensively but the score remained 1 - 0 in favor of the blue and white at halftime.
• Gordon held the shot advantage once again in the final 45 minutes of play, but one goal was all the Scots needed as they came away with the one score victory.

Beyond The Box Score

• Gordon has now won eight straight contests against the Suffolk University Rams.
• Ava Forbes-Smith has scored in back-to-back games against the Rams. Last year the striker booked two goals in their 4 - 2 win.
• The Scots cap off their regular season on Tuesday, October 24 as they host the Nichols College Bison at 4 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
