In a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Friday night contest, Gordon College Women's Soccer traveled down Route 128 to take on the Colonels of Curry College where the Fighting Scot booked their first conference tie of the season after the scoreboard read 1 - 1 after 90 minutes of action. 

How It Happened

• Gordon was able to hit the ground running, sending off a pair of shots within the first four minutes, but it was Curry who drew first blood as the Colonels scored in the ninth minute to take the early one score advantage. The Scots controlled the tempo throughout the remainder of the first half and in the 38th minute, the rookies knotted it up at 1 - 1 as Eowyn Lapp found the feet of Lily Ford who ripped one past the Colonels keeper. Each keeper made one more save to end the half tied at one.
• The Fighting Scots held the upper hand in corners in the second half (3 - 0), but both sides were unable to send a shot into the back netting in the second 45, resulting in the first CCC draw of the year for the blue and white (1 - 1).

Beyond The Box Score

• Lily Ford netted her first conference goal as a Fighting Scot tonight. 
• Eowyn Lapp recorded her first assist in conference play. 
• The Fighting Scots return to their home turf on Tuesday, October 10 to host cross-town rival Endicott College at 4 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Center.
