Box Score Gordon College Men's Tennis returned to the courts this afternoon for a non-conference matchup against the Clark University Cougars at the Manchester Athletic Club. The Clark Cougars were able to come back after being down 2-1 after doubles to secure the 5-4 win over the Fighting Scots. 

John Marineau and James Wellborn teamed up to cruise to an 8-3 win on the No. 3 courts while Jeffrey Bodner and Lucas Barnes earned the 8-6 victory in No. 2 doubles. 

With the 2-1 advantage in doubles, Gordon was able to pick up a pair of victories thanks to the standout play of rookie Barnes and veteran Marineau, but the effort fell short as the Cougars secured the come from behind narrow victory, 5-4. 

The Fighting Scots return to action on Tuesday, March 21 to host Assumption at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
