In their penultimate match of the spring season, Gordon College Women's Tennis traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts to square-off against the Assumption University Greyhounds where the the Division II program took a 4-3* win over the Fighting Scots.
In doubles action, the Fighting Scots battled tightly with their counterparts, but the home team was able ot take the 6-3 No. 1 win as well as a 7-5 victory in No. 2 action. Gordon recorded the win on the third court as Assumption defaulted.
Hannah Hovda earned a gritty 6-4, 6-2 victory in No. 4 singles as well as the Scots picking up two more wins with the Greyhounds again defaulting. After securing wins in the top three singles' courts, Assumption grabbed the 5-4 win.
The Fighting Scots travel to the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) on Friday April 21 for their final contest of the spring season.
