No. 6/14 Gulls Top Scots In CCC Play

Gordon College Baseball invited Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) rivals Endicott College to the J. Tec White Field for a single nine-inning bout where the Fighting Scots battled but were defeated by the No. 6/14 Gulls, 9-4.

How It Happened
  • Starting pitcher Brandon Bloom retired the side in the top of the first to give his team the early momentum swing. The Fighting Scots answered and scored the first tally of the game after a bases loaded sacrifice fly from Dalton Cody in the bottom of the inning. 
  • In the top of the second, the Gulls, however were able to string together six hits to score as many runs and go on top, 6-1. 
  • Gordon continued to chip away at the plate, scoring a run in each of the next two innings, but the Gulls were able to stay on top to take the 9-4 victory.
Beyond The Box Score
  • Gordon has registered nine hits in back to back games.
  • The Scots return to action on Thursday, April 20 to host the Lesley University Lynx at 3 p.m.
