Box Score Gordon College Men's Tennis continued Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action this afternoon as they traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts to square up against the Western New England Golden Bears (WNE) where the Fighting Scots shutout their hosts, 9-0.Â

Joshua Noel got the Scots going with their first doubles win on court No. 1 with a quick 8-1 victory before
Lucas Barnes and
James Wellborn  made it 2-0 for the Scots with a 8-2 win. Lastly on court No. 2Â
Jeffrey Bodner and
Carleton Riester secured the doubles sweep after besting their WNE opponents, 8-5.Â
In singles action, Bodner kept Gordon's win streak going with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout victory on court No. 2 before Barnes and Riester almost shutout their counterparts in the No. 5 and 4 slots (6-0, 6-1) and (6-1, 6-0), respectively, to seal the overall win. Next, the Scots continued to pour it on as Hall retired his opponent (6-1, 3-2) followed by Noel on Court No. 3 (6-2, 6-0) and Wellborn (6-2, 6-4) in the No. 6 singles spot to lock in the 9-0 blanking.Â
The Scots took it a step further as In the two exhibition matches, Samuel Miller and
Brendan Tuttle both mastered their opponents, 6-4, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-3.Â
The Fighting Scots hit the courts again after the Easter break on Tuesday, April 11 when they travel into Boston to face the Wentworth Leopards for a CCC match-up.Â
