Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Scots March Out Of Milton With A Sweep

As conference play begins for the Fighting Scots, Gordon College Women's Tennis hit the road to go down to Milton, Massachusetts as they faced the Curry College Colonels. The Scots rolled to a dominant 9 - 0 victory and sweep over the Colonels.

Abbigail Fournier and Hannah Hovda were the first to make claim to a victory as they went 8 - 0 sweeping the No. 3 doubles of Curry. Amanda Kim and Chloe Hanley finished next, taking an 8 - 6 win, to put the Scots up 2 - 0 on the day. In the No. 1 doubles slot, Annette Kim and Serena Ross, continued with the wins as they secured the clean doubles sweep with a score of 8 - 7 (7 - 3).

Gordon went into single play up 3 - 0, needing just two more tallies to seal the deal. The Fighting Scots went on to clear the board as each individual was able to win their match. Hovda shutout her No. 6 opponent. Followed by No. 3 and No. 2, Hanley and Ross, respectively, were able to keep their counterparts to only winning one set. Gordon took home the win as they won 9 - 0.

The Fighting Scots return to action on Tuesday, September 19 at 3:30 p.m. to host the Suffolk University Rams at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
