Gordon College Women's Soccer welcomed the Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) Mariners to the Brigham Athletic Complex where the Mariners' two goals in the first half were enough to secure the 2 - 1 win over the Fighting Scots. 

How It Happened

• In the 22nd minute, MMA slid the ball over the goal line to take the 1 - 0 lead. Then, five minutes later the Mariners struck again to widen the gap to two goals heading into halftime.
• Senior Allie LaRue came out of the break firing from all cylinders and in the 69th minute, LaRue's aggressiveness paid off as the midfielder laced the ball into the back netting to cut the deficit in half (2 - 1).
• Gordon continued to dominate time of possession throughout the rest of regulation but were unable to break through as the visitors came away with the victory.

• Allie LaRue has now recorded two goals on the season. 
• The Fighting Scots return to action on Saturday, September 23 as they travel to face Hartford at 4 p.m.
