Welcoming the Concordia University-Texas Tornadoes to the Brigham Athletic Complex this evening, Gordon College Men's Soccer came out in the second half hot, scoring the equalizer to end the contest in a 1 - 1 draw. The Fighting Scots have now booked two ties on the season. 

How It Happened

• The Tornadoes started off fast and furious, as Concordia's Bernabe Torres found teammate Jesse Garfias to put the visitors on the board just over a minute after the opening whistle.
• Both sides continued to battle through the remainder of the frame, with Gordon taking the upper hand in corners with two but the score remained 1 - 0, Concordia at halftime.
• Not to be outdone, rookie Henry McElroy ripped in a shot from Adrian Chiang to lock it up at 1 - 1 just over a minute and a half into the second. 
• Similar to the first half, each side continued to fight to score the go ahead, but after the final whistle sounded, the score read 1 - 1. 

Beyond The Box Score

• Gordon keeper Hudson Bennett made her collegiate debut in net this evening.
• Hunter McElroy netted his first collegiate goal as a Fighting Scot. 
• After two games in three days, Gordon Men's Soccer will have the rest of the week off until Saturday, September 9 as they host the Springfield Pride at 4 p.m. at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
