Scots Make It Three In A Row With 4-1 Win Over Panthers

Gordon College Women's Soccer made the trip up to Plymouth, New Hampshire this afternoon for their first road contest of the season against the Plymouth State University (PSU) Panthers where the Fighting Scots used a dominant second half to earn the 4 - 1 victory.

How It Happened
  • After a scoreless first half for both sides, PSU came out of halftime, scoring within the first three minutes to go up, 1 - 0.
  • Not to be outdone, the Fighting Scots fired off three shots before connecting in the 61st minute as Jesse Skov found the back of the net to lock it up at 1 - all.
  • Just over five minutes later, senior Allie Larue knocked in a feed from rookie Eowyn Lapp to double up the Panthers, 2 - 1.
  • The Scots continued to put pressure on the Panthers' defense, pulling away late as Taylor Talesnick had her hand in the final two insurance goals for the blue and white by assisting Ada Forbes in the 88th minute as well as an unassisted tally with 50 seconds left in regulation.
Beyond The Box Score
