Gordon Celebrates Senior Day With Thrilling Victory Over Elms

Continuing non-conference play this week, Gordon College Field Hockey returned to the Brigham Athletic Complex to host the Elms College Blazers to celebrate Senior Day today. The Fighting Scots honored their seniors in style with their first win of the season over Elms, 1-0. 

How It Happened
  • The Scots rattled off 10 shots compared the Elms' zero in the first half, as the score remained 0-0 at halftime.
  • As time expired in the third, Gordon earned two penalty corners and on the second corner, Gina Ouellette ripped in a shot that bounced off the Elms' keeper. The ball found the stick of Josie Gayer who chipped the ball into the back of the net to put Gordon on top, 1-0.
  • Gordon once again controlled the final quarter as the claimed the exciting 1-0 win.
