Gordon College Women's Soccer hit the road this afternoon for another road contest as they took on the Bison of Nichols College in Conference of New England (CNE) play. After 90 minutes of action, the Fighting Scots cruised to a 5-1 win over the home team.

How It Happened

• Ava Forbes-Smith continued to stay hot as the junior put the blue and white on the board in the 19th minute. Three minutes later, Nichols knocked in the equalizer (1-1).
• After both sides traded shots, Liana Hanley made a pass to Ada Forbes who tucked in a shot into the upper left-hand corner to give Gordon the lead once again (2-1) with 18 minutes to go in the half. 
• With Nichols looking to go into halftime down just one, Gordon had other plans as sophomore sensation Eowyn Lapp roped in an unassisted goal into the back netting to widen the gap to 3-1 at the break.
• Opening up the second half, Forbes-Smith registered a successful penalty kick after a foul in the box from Nichols (4-1).
• Playing hard until the final whistle, Lapp curled in her second tally of the afternoon in the 86th minute to solidify Gordon's 5-1 victory.

• Ava Forbes-Smith recorded her second two-goal game of the season today.
• Eowyn Lapp has now gone back-to-back games with scoring two goals.
• Tia Fyden registered her first career assist this afternoon on Gordon's first goal.
