The Gordon College Field Hockey team took the short trek over to Endicott to square off against the Gulls this afternoon where the Gulls claimed the 8-1 win over the Fighting Scots.

How It Happened

• Endicott scored in the first two minutes of the game to grab the early advantage. However, the Fighting Scots secured a penalty corner as Presley Beal got the ball to Sarah Bourk who knotted up the scoreboard at 1-1.
• Keeper Allyson Stauffer registered five saves in the remaining time of the half, allowing just one goal as the Fighting Scots trailed 2-1 after one quarter of action. Stauffer totaled 11 saves by halftime after a six save effort int he second as Endicott led, 5-1 at the break.
• Gordon held the high flying Gulls to just three goals in the second half for the 8-1 loss.

Beyond The Box Score

• This marks the third game this season Allyson Stauffer reached 21 or more saves in a game.
• Presley Beal chipped in her first collegiate assist this afternoon.
• Rookie Sarah Bourk netted her second goal (both in conference play) today.
• Gordon plays the day after tomorrow when they travel up to Maine for a 5 p.m. start against the Saint Joseph's Monks.
