Over the course of the past two days, Gordon College Men's Golf hosted the Conference of New England (CNE) Men's Golf Championship at Tedesco Country Club (6,454 yard course, 70 par) over in Marblehead. In the two-day Championship, the Fighting Scots claimed a third place finish out of the nine CNE teams. Gordon's third place finish is the best finish they have had at the Conference Championship in program history (established 2019). 

The Roger Williams Hawks edged out the Endicott College Gulls by just one stroke to defend their crown. See full results HERE.

Day One

• The Fighting Scots finished the first 18 holes as the top team after a score of +18.  
• Junior Cole Scannell had an incredible day out on the course and found himself at the top of the leader board after shooting just two over on the afternoon.
• Mario Mateo and Reid Mitchell also secured high finishes as Mateo was tied for third (+4) and Mitchell came in fifth after shooting five over par. 
• Overall, No. 38 Endicott was one stroke behind the Fighting Scots (+19), followed by Roger Williams (+24), and Hartford (+28).

Day Two/Final

• Teammates Scannell and Mateo both tied for seventh after shooting 11 over par. 
• Mitchell collected a top-15 placement (+16).
• Owen Ingram and Austin Crick also matched up their scores in 21st place at +18.

The CNE Championship capped off a busy fall for the Fighting Scots and they will pick up action second semester.
