Gordon College Volleyball stepped on Kanas Court this afternoon for a Conference of New England (CNE) tilt against the Western New England (WNE) Golden Bears to celebrate the Fighting Scots' five seniors. In a tight match-up, the Golden Bears defeated the Fighting Scots, 3-1.

How It Happened

• The first frame opened up with a Gordon 7-4 advantage thanks to a pair of Annie Zimmerman aces. However, the Golden Bears did not shy away, locking up the scoreboard four times before going on top by three (18-15). Gordon retook the lead three times before the visitors closed it out, 28-26.
• Gordon stormed out early before WNE made it a one-point game (9-8). A 4-0 run by the blue and white created separation (13-8). The Scots continued to use steady streaks to better the Golden Bears, 25-18.
• Annie Murphy recorded four kills within a 5-0 Gordon span to cut the deficit to five (19-14), but the Golden Bears came out with the 25-21 win.
• In the fourth, WNE led 22-17 before Olivia Fleming booked a crafty kill to ignite a trio of points (two kills from Joey Keltner) to bring the score to 22-20. However, the Golden Bears grabbed the final three points for the overall win.

Beyond The Box Score

• Olivia Fleming wrapped up her senior campaign with 12 or more assists in the final four out of five games.
• Aba Asante registered a career-high of 22 digs in the season finale.
• Annie Murphy capped off her career with five straight games of 13 or more kills.
• The Fighting Scots celebrated seniors #1 Wren Worth, #5 Aba Asante, #9 Joey Keltner, #10 Annie Murphy, and #17 Olivia Fleming before today's match.
