Continuing Conference of New England (CNE) action this afternoon, Gordon College Women's Basketball took the short trek over to Beverly to take on the Gulls of Endicott College where the Gulls protected the nest with the 82-34 win.
Woynitu Ciccarello had a team-high 13 points, followed by
Ami Rivera with 11 points. On the glass,
Brynn Barnhard and
Sophie Peters each brought down six rebounds.
For the Gulls,
Libby Fleming recorded a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds,
Emma Shinney dished out 13 assists and added 10 points, while
Sarah Dempsey netted 14 points.
How It Happened
- Endicott raced out to a 6-0 run in the opening minutes before Ciccarello and Rivera closed the gap to three points within a minute span (10-7). The Gulls regrouped and led by 11 with 2:18 to go in the quarter before Jayme Kiser secured the offensive board and knocked in a layup to keep the Gulls within single digits going into the second (21-12).
- Both sides were quiet offensively in the second frame, bringing the scoreboard to 36-21 in favor of the home team at halftime.
- After coming out of the locker room, the Gulls fired from all cylinders to claim the conference win.

- Woynitu Ciccarello has scored in double-digits in all seven games so far in her rookie season.
