The Gordon College Women's Basketball team ventured out west to battle the Western New England (WNE) Golden Bears in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. The home team was able to defeat the Fighting Scots, 66-31.

For the Fighting Scots, Isabella Rivera had 10 points and four rebounds, Ami Rivera added six points, while Naomi Nicholson and Sophie Peters chipped in five each.

WNE's Emma Kahn netted 12 points while Shaina Cooney booked 11 points.

How It Happened

• I. Rivera kicked the scoring off with a pair of made free throws from the charity stripe as the Fighting Scots held a 7-4 lead early. The Golden Bears settled in and doubled up the blue and white 14-7 with a minute remaining, but I. Rivera drained a three in the final second to cut the deficit to four points heading into the second (14-10).
• WNE took control in the second while playing tough defensively to lead 32-14 at halftime.
• The Rivera sisters hit a pair of layups early in the third, but the home team continued to have answers at the other end of the court as they came out with the league win.
