Gordon College Softball wrapped up their spring break trip as they took the diamond against the Calvin University Knights and the Arcadia University Knights. The Fighting Scots fell to Calvin 7-0, and 10-8 to Arcadia.

• Morgan Passolo held the Knights to two hits in the first two innings, before Calvin put a three spot up on the board in the top of the third. 
• Calvin's pitching set the tone early, not allowing Gordon to get in rhythm offensively. 
• The visitors tacked on four in the top of the seventh to claim the victory. 

Gordon at Arcadia

• Gordon's Isabella Rivera converted a lead-off walk into the game's first run to put the blue and white up 1-0 in the top of the first. 
• The Knights doubled up the Scots in the home half of the first inning, before going on to score one run in each of the next three innings, to widen the gap 5-1. 
• In the top of the fifth, Ami Rivera ignited the seven-run inning with a double to left field, followed by an Emily Graham RBI-single. With the bases loaded, Passolo, I. Rivera, and Emily Peterson strung together three straight singles to put Gordon on top 6-5. Coming back up to the plate, A. Rivera hit her second double of the inning to score two, and stretch Gordon's lead 8-5. 
• Arcadia began to chip away in the bottom of the inning, as they tallied one run before they tacked on four more in the bottom of the sixth, to come out with the two-run win. 

Beyond The Box Score

• Freshman, Morgan Passolo, tapped in her first career hit of the season. 
• Ami RIvera notched her second three-hit of the season. 
• The Fighting Scots are back in action on Saturday, March 16 for a road double-header against Eastern Nazarene College at 12 p.m.
