- NEC netted the first tally of the second, followed by two straight rockets off the stick of Buccella (5-2). From there, Flemmi joined in on the action with two straight goals to make it a 7-2 game. The Pilgrims however, recorded the final three goals of the quarter to shrink their deficit to two goals (7-5) at halftime.
- Flemmi opened up the second half with a goal, but the Pilgrims matched the Scots eight minutes later to keep it a two-score game (8-6). Looking to stretch their lead, Flemmi and Buccella added another tally to their stat sheets to give Gordon the 10-6 lead heading into the fourth.
- The home team tried to make a comeback in the fourth, but the Fighting Scots buckled down to come out with the 10-9 win.
